Privacy
Short version: no accounts, no ads, no chat history on our servers. Your Ask GodGom messages are sent to Claude (Anthropic) to produce an answer, and our logs keep only counts and IDs, not what you wrote.
What happens when you use Ask GodGom
- Your browser sends the current conversation (at most the last 10 messages) and your browser language setting to
/api/chaton kgodgom.com. The conversation is kept only in the open page in your browser. We do not offer accounts or sign-in, and we do not save conversations on our side. - Our server (a Cloudflare Worker) checks the request and forwards it, together with our fixed instructions, to the Claude API from Anthropic. The answer streams back to you. Your messages are therefore processed by Anthropic. See Anthropic's privacy policy for how it handles API data.
- The AI tools tab (
/api/lens,/api/medicine,/api/phrasecard) works the same way: the photo you choose (shrunk in your browser to about 1 MB or less) and the text you type are sent once to our server and on to the Claude API from Anthropic, then discarded; we do not store photos, text or answers. Photos may show faces or personal details, so please photograph only the menu, sign or label. - Please do not type passport numbers, payment card numbers, health records or other sensitive personal information into the chat.
What our logs keep
The server writes a small log line for each chat request. It contains only the event name, status or error type, the stop reason, token counts (input, output, cache) and the request ID returned by Anthropic. It does not contain your messages, the answers, your IP address, or any key. Logs are used to watch cost and errors.
IP address and rate limits
To prevent abuse we limit how often one visitor can use the chat. This uses your IP address as a short-lived key: in the server's memory (a best-effort limit of 20 requests per 10 minutes) and in Cloudflare's rate-limiting feature (5 requests per 60 seconds, counted per Cloudflare location). We do not write IP addresses to our logs or any database. Cloudflare, our hosting provider, necessarily processes IP addresses and request metadata to deliver the site, and may keep its own standard operational records; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Cookies and local storage
- Our pages do not set cookies of their own and we do not add analytics or advertising scripts. (Cloudflare, which delivers the site, may set technical cookies for security.)
- If you switch the homepage sound effects on, your browser remembers that choice in local storage (key
kg-sfx). The app also stores its own files (survival cards, places, images) in your browser cache so they work offline.
Third-party content
The pages load fonts from Google Fonts and a pixel font from jsDelivr, and video thumbnails from YouTube (i.ytimg.com). Those providers see your IP address when your browser fetches those files. The YouTube video player (youtube-nocookie.com) loads only after you press play on a video. Links to YouTube and other sites are governed by their own policies.
If you write to hello@kgodgom.com, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply. Ask us to delete the correspondence at any time.
Your requests and changes
For any question or request about your data, write to hello@kgodgom.com. Because we hold no accounts and no chat history, there is little to look up, but we will answer. If this policy changes, we will update the date above.
