How K-GodGom uses Claude
Claude (Anthropic) is the only large language model in our product, and the main tool we build with. This page lists what is live today and what is only planned.

Live today
- Ask GodGom at kgodgom.com/app answers Korea travel questions through the Claude API, in the language the visitor writes in (suggested questions in English, Spanish, Indonesian, Thai, Japanese).
- Installable web app (PWA): Ask GodGom can be added to a phone home screen and its survival cards, places and built-in answers work offline (service worker; tested offline in a headless browser on 2026-10-11).
- AI tools (3, each calls Claude through the Worker): photo translator for Korean menus and signs (Claude vision), medicine label reader (translation only, not medical advice, points to a pharmacist and 119), and a pocket phrase card maker. Pick one of 12 answer languages (phrase cards tested live in all 12; the photo translator tested live on test images in English, Spanish, Thai, Japanese, French and German, the medicine reader in Indonesian, Japanese and Arabic; these are our own spot checks on generated images, not a formal evaluation). Photos are shrunk in the browser, capped at about 1.2 MB, sent once and not stored. Tested on 2026-10-11.
- Guides: 10 static guide pages in English, Spanish, Indonesian, Thai and Japanese, generated from the same fact pack as the app.
- Server: a Cloudflare Worker on kgodgom.com holds the API key, so it never reaches the browser. Answers stream back as they are generated.
- Prompt caching: the fixed instructions and Korea fact pack are sent as a cached prompt block to cut cost and delay.
- Guardrails: per-visitor rate limits on every Claude route, an origin check, input size caps, short answers by design, and a fallback message when a request fails or is refused.
- Privacy: chats are not stored. Logs keep token counts, status codes and request IDs only. See Privacy.
- Built with Claude Code: the website, the app and the Worker were written by the founder together with Claude Code.
Planned (not live yet)
- Evaluation sets for the five languages and for emergency answers (112, 119, 1330).
- Answers grounded in official Korean sources, with an "as of" date and human review of safety answers.
- Cost tuning of prompt caching and model choice, and a spend cap in the Claude Console.
What we do not claim
We have no revenue and no usage figures to report. Answers are AI-generated and can be wrong; check important details with official sources.
